![]() Hello, I have two suggestions for online activities that will help build students’ ability to strategize. ![]() It can get pretty tricky, but I know everyone will be able to figure it out! Have fun with this, and feel free to practice some typing if you have time left over. Once you get through the first couple of levels, you will have to figure out how to move one box with the other to get them to the right row on the board in the right order. This is tricky because the boxes can only move in one direction, and some cannot move at all on their own. To complete this activity, you must move the colored boxes around the puzzle board so they end up on top of the key with the same color. Grade Two: Hello everyone! This week, I am suggesting a puzzle activity titled Zippy Boxes. Everyone should have fun with this, no pressure! Thank you to everyone who sent in a video or photo for the mass last week, it is going to look awesome! - Mr. You fail if the ball is popped by the spikes or zapped by the electric lines. The level is complete when the cat holds the ball in its hands. ![]() The goal of this game is simple, players must click the blue triangles to make them disappear which will let the cat’s ball fall or fly through the air. Hello everyone, this week I am suggesting another problem solving activity for Kindergarten. Each link below is to an age-appropriate typing site some are maybe more fun for you than others! Also, check out Kailey’s neat facemask design from the latest Tinkercad challenge: Hello! For anyone with some extra time this week, I suggest practicing some keyboarding for 10-15 minutes. This one gets more complicated as the outlines of each individual shape is not drawn in, so students have to look at the shape, and analyze which tangrams will be able to fit together to make said shape. The second activity, Tangrams, is based on the classic children’s toy. The first, Shape Construction asks students to select the appropriate shapes to drag and drop into the larger design, based on the outlines. Both of these activities involved combining simple shapes to create a larger, more complex design. Greetings! This week I thought I would suggest two geometry activities to try out for all those who have some extra time. Even though it is challenging, the 12 day period goes by quickly, so you only need 10-15 minutes to complete this game. It is much more challenging than you think to make sure you have the correct ratio of producers to consumers so everything has enough food to stay alive. The mission is simple, try to have as many different organisms alive as possible after 12 days. Hello! This week I am suggesting an online ecosystem builder for anyone who has the time. If you have some time this week, give this a try. Most of the levels require you to identify the correct angles to help send the character in the right direction in order to draw the required shape. It is a Frozen themed program which seems a little bit elementary, but it is actually really good geometry practice. My suggested activity for this week comes from Hour of Code. This week, we focus on the letter Z! Enjoy! - Mr. Hello again! I hope everyone is doing well at home! For those of you who have time this week, please return to, login, and find the latest playlist of activities added to each student’s “My Lessons” page. Everyone should have fun with this, no pressure! Thank you to everyone who sent in a video or photo for the mass last week, it is going to look awesome! I am also including the link to last week’s Zippy Boxes activity if anyone would like to spend a little more time on that activity to see if you can beat all of the levels. You can look at your keyboard, or challenge yourself to do as much as you can without looking. You must try to place the letter and number keys on a blank keyboard with as few mistakes as possible. This activity is designed to help learn the letters on the keyboard, but it does not require typing. Hello! This week, if you have the opportunity, try the Keyboard Challenge.
